"We selected Ineco Energy here at Portland Lighting because we knew they had such a great reputation within the industry. In total we will benefit from savings of around £225,000 and our solar generates 48% of our energy which will save over 500 tonnes of carbon"

The Motivation

Ensuring the business was sustainable and future-proofed was the priority for Portland Lighting and the installation of solar PV to power the site with clean and renewable energy supported that. The opportunity to protect the business from rising energy costs was an additional motivator giving the business the chance to considerably reduce their energy bills.

There are issues of global warming that we all need to consider in our manufacturing processes, sustainability of products and materials, and using local suppliers.

The Ineco Solution

Portland Lighting, along with other FW Thorpe sites, selected Ineco Energy as its solar PV partner, not only due to the team’s expertise in designing and installing quality solar PV technology but also to benefit from lifetime support and ongoing monitoring of the system. Ineco undertook a full site analysis to determine the best size of the system suited to current and future energy requirements. A quick delivery was essential to avoid minimal disruption to operations for the manufacturing site which is busy from early morning until late evening.
