The Motivation

Great Linford Primary School initially upgraded their lighting as part of a wider maintenance program. Although the new fittings were more energy-efficient than the previous ones, they still provided insufficient light levels. Coupled with the ongoing rise in energy bills, the school began to seek ways to reduce costs, enhance the learning environment, and contribute positively to the planet. After consulting with other schools in the area, they reached out to Ineco Energy for assistance in achieving these goals.

The Ineco Solution

Direct Recommendation

Ineco Energy came highly recommended to Great Linford primary school by other schools in the local area. We offered a fully funded solution that would help the school lower its energy costs, improve its environmental sustainability, and create a more conducive learning environment for its students.

Feasibility Survey and Energy Bill Analysis

To determine the most effective energy-saving measures, we conducted a thorough feasibility survey and analysed the school’s energy bills. Our findings revealed significant opportunities for savings, through the installation of LED lighting and solar PV panels as an initial step towards reducing the schools costs and carbon footprint.

Site Audit and Installation

We carried out a comprehensive site audit, gathering building dimensions and compiling a full asset register. Our in-house design team then created a bespoke solution, ensuring the most efficient use of resources with the optimum output.

Asbestos Containing Ceilings

We took special care to work with the existing asbestos-containing materials in the ceilings. Additional health and safety control measures were put in accordance with HSE regulations for all persons.

Better Lighting for Brighter Schools

The new LED lights transformed the school’s learning environment with brighter, more effective lighting. Additionally, the solar panels now provide energy savings, helping to shield the school from future energy price increases.

The Benefits
